This paper investigates the current status, causes, and preventive rehabilitation measures for lower back injuries in adolescent rowers. Through a survey of 15 athletes from the Shanghai Adolescent Rowing DeYingLe Club and UC Rowing Club, combined with literature analysis, it was found that chronic strain injuries are the main type of lower back injuries in adolescent rowers, with lumbar muscle strain accounting for the highest proportion (66.7%), followed by lumbar disc herniation (20%) and lumbar joint disorder (13.3%). Injuries mostly occur during specialized strength training (53.3%) and aerobic endurance training (33.3%), with the main causes being improper technical movements (40%), chronic strain accumulation (26.7%), and insufficient warm-up (20%). The study also found that nearly half of the athletes tend to risk increasing training intensity in pursuit of performance, and more than half of the athletes have a history of lower back injuries. In response to these issues, this paper proposes preventive and rehabilitation measures including core stability training and sports biomechanics correction, and recommends establishing a scientific training management system and a collaborative rehabilitation management model of 'coach-rehabilitation therapist' to reduce the incidence of lower back injuries in adolescent rowers and ensure the healthy development of their sports careers.
