Research on the Measurement of Digital Village Construction Level and Promotion Strategies in Gansu Province

This article constructs an indicator system from five dimensions: digital rural environment, digital infrastructure, digital rural economy, smart green production, and digital development. It employs the entropy weight method and Theil index to analyze the level measurement and regional differences in digital rural construction in Gansu Province from 2018-2023. The study finds that, in terms of level measurement, Gansu Province's digital rural construction faces issues such as slow development speed, small improvement amplitude, inadequate digital infrastructure, and weak digital economic development level. In terms of regional differences, there are problems such as high regional competition pressure, relatively lagging digital economic development, and relatively low overall level ranking. In response to the above situation, this article proposes countermeasures and suggestions such as the government adhering to the principle of adapting to local conditions, strengthening mutual support mechanisms between provinces, increasing fiscal investment.
