With the vigorous development of the digital economy, data security has created new demands on the system. Administrative punishment cases against data security such as the "Didi case" have exposed China's current shortcomings in regulating data export; In the international context, developed countries are trying to establish rules for cross-border data transfers. Under the background of both international and domestic reality, China's data export rules are constantly improving, responding to data security needs internally, and establishing a voice in rules related to cross-border data circulation externally. At present, China's legislation on data export has begun to take shape, and the operability has been significantly enhanced, but there are still legislative shortcomings such as unclear data classification standards.
