Abstract

A mechanical design of a synchronised cupping chair is proposed for the demand of cupping in a seated position. The device consists of an external box, a seat and back and a cupping mechanism. The movements of the cupping mechanisms are independent of each other. The cupping mechanism can be used to effectively apply multiple cupping jars to the human back, either synchronously or asynchronously, to improve efficiency. The cupping mechanism is cushioned to provide a close fit to the back of the body and to improve comfort. The entire cupping process is completed automatically with the cooperation of the various components and the control system, with a high degree of intelligence. The cupping is standardised and unified in the seated position.
