Abstract

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. This initiative is conducive to exchanges and cooperation among countries, injecting new momentum into world economic growth and opening up new space for global development. And discourse analysis can reveal how people use real language in the process of daily communication, the relationship between social-cultural context and discourse construction, and the linguistic phenomena and features revealed by large units of discourse. The proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative is a new model and new idea to promote international cooperation in the context of globalization and regionalization, which is closely related to China’s excellent traditional culture and the historical continuity of China’s cultural exchanges with the world. Therefore, this paper takes the Belt and Road International Summit Forum as an example, and utilizes discourse analysis to elaborate its impact on China and related countries, so as to provide reference for China to take countermeasures as well as to enhance its own international discourse power.
