Abstract

At present, the aging situation of the population in China is more serious. Older parents helping young parents care for their children helps increase the employment rate of young parents. In this paper, using panel regression using data from CFPS2010, CFPS2012 and CFPS2014, the results found that the promotion effect of intergenerational care was higher in women than men, and on urban users than that in rural areas. In this paper, the problem of endogeneity is solved according to the measure of whether the parents are alive, and the robustness is tested by annual robust regression and linear probability model. Finally, according to the conclusion of the study, the policy suggestions of the elderly are put forward: identify with the value of the elderly, encourage family harmony, and improve the supply structure through policies to encourage intergenerational care.
