This research examines the variations in economic rebound across different regions in China, as affected by the revival of cross-border electronic commerce following the pandemic. Employing fixed effects models and heterogeneity analysis, it investigates the variances in the economic recovery across different Chinese regions facilitated by cross-border e-commerce. The findings reveal a positive influence of cross-border e-commerce on the nation's economic rebound, albeit with noticeable regional variations. Western China experiences a lesser impact, Central China benefits significantly, and Eastern China sees moderate gains. The research underscores the necessity for targeted regional strategies to optimize the benefits of international e-commerce. For Western China, it suggests an aggressive expansion of transportation and infrastructure. For Central China, it advocates for enhanced governmental incentives and regulation of e-commerce enterprises. Lastly, for Eastern China, the paper recommends the integration of cross-border e-commerce with traditional industries like light manufacturing, textiles, and agriculture to foster sustainable development. These insights aim to guide both policy formulation and enterprise growth in the evolving landscape of digital commerce.
