This article provides a literature review on environmental investment by Chinese enterprises. It summarizes the influencing factors of environmental investment by Chinese enterprises from internal factors such as property rights, equity structure, executive characteristics, and board characteristics, as well as external factors such as environmental regulations, capital markets, market competition, media and public attention. It also summarizes the effects of environmental investment by Chinese enterprises from three aspects: economic benefits, high-quality development, and opening up to the outside world, To provide inspiration for further in-depth research.
