Cancel culture is a common social phenomenon recently. It affects people’s academic life as well as social life. This research report mainly focuses on how cancel culture has a detrimental effect on academia and social media, and the urgency to alleviate the negative effect of cancel culture. The report also provides the possible solution to this may be a new and reasonable law to regulate this phenomenon.
