Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship of professional self-efficacy and professional well-being of medical surgical nurses in selected hospitals in China. Professional well-being refers to an individual's overall satisfaction and happiness with his or her professional life. The study will be conducted in a tertiary hospital in Shandong Province. In this study, a descriptive creational research design will be used to explore the relationship between socio-demographic characteristics, general self-efficacy and overall well-being among medical surgical nurses in Shandong Province. The respondents of this study will be 126 medical surgical nurses from a Tertiary Hospital in Shandong Province, China. The researcher will describe and explore the socio-demographic characteristics, professional self-efficacy and professional well-being of medical surgical nurses in Shandong Province and analyze the correlation between the two variables.
