This article aims to explore the impact of digital finance on the high-quality development of enterprises. By analyzing data from Chinese listed companies from 2010 to 2019 and using a multi time point double difference method, the article quantitatively evaluates the role of digital finance in alleviating financing constraints, enhancing environmental capabilities, and improving management efficiency for the first time. The research results indicate that the popularization and development of digital finance have significantly improved the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance of enterprises, especially in eastern China, low pollution industries, state-owned enterprises, and enterprises with low commercial credit supply. This article not only provides important empirical evidence for enterprises and governments, but also puts forward specific policy recommendations for deepening the application of digital finance and promoting high-quality development of enterprises.
