Abstract

Wenzhou is actively exploring strategies to address population aging, striving to build a benchmark city for smart elderly care. The current aging situation and its associated challenges have led to a series of initiatives, including the construction of an intelligent elderly care system, the improvement of elderly care service infrastructure, and the parallel development of the wellness industry and talent cultivation. Research findings indicate that digital technology trends will be Wenzhou’s core competitive advantage, while resource integration and model innovation are essential paths forward. Wenzhou urgently needs to forge a smart elderly care approach with local characteristics, providing a reference and setting an example for the nation in addressing population aging.
