Abstract

From the perspective of whole-process people's democracy, this paper discusses how to improve the quality and efficiency of budget performance supervision by local people's congresses. It briefly explains the intrinsic connection between whole-process people's democracy and the strengthening of budget review and supervision by the NPC, analyzes the current situation of performance supervision by local people's congresses and the existing problems, and puts forward suggestions in terms of strengthening the concept of budgetary performance supervision, improving the system of budgetary performance supervision and enriching the talent team of the NPC system in the light of the connotations and requirements of whole-process people's democracy in order to promote the improvement of the quality and efficiency of budgetary performance supervision by the local people's congresses.
