This study examines the role and practical pathways of social organisations in ethnic regions in fostering a sense of community for the Chinese nation, using the Guigang Ethnic Unity and Progress Association in Guangxi as a case study. Findings indicate that the Guigang Ethnic Unity and Progress Association has effectively promoted cultural exchange, economic development, and social integration in ethnic regions through cultural activities, economic empowerment, and social collaboration. Its practical experience encompasses establishing a "Chamber (Association) + Ethnic Unity" model, organising ethnic cultural festivals, fostering industry-employment linkage development, and innovating community governance mechanisms. Nevertheless, the association continues to face significant challenges regarding resource sustainability, professional service capacity, effectiveness evaluation systems, and collaborative mechanisms. Addressing these issues, the study proposes optimisation pathways: establishing a diversified resource support system, strengthening professional talent development, implementing scientific effectiveness evaluation mechanisms, and refining collaborative networks. This research provides theoretical reference and practical guidance for social organisations in ethnic regions engaged in fostering a sense of community for the Chinese nation.
