Level of Rural Industrial Integration and Regional Patterns in Henan Province

The integration of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries in rural areas acts as a pivotal driver of rural revitalization and agricultural modernization on a national scale. This study systematically clarifies the core evaluation principles governing rural industrial integration in China, with Henan Province selected as a representative case study. A multi-dimensional, comprehensive evaluation index system for rural industrial integration is constructed, and a combined method of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and entropy weight method is employed to quantitatively measure the integration level across all prefecture-level administrative regions in Henan. Furthermore, this study dissects the spatiotemporal characteristics of rural industrial integration in the province and examines the underlying causes of regional disparities in integration development. Finally, targeted, region-specific development strategies are proposed to address the identified disparities, thereby providing actionable insights for elevating the overall level of rural industrial integration in Henan and beyond.
