Against the backdrop of an aging population and increasing demand for elderly care services, as well as the policy initiative of building "elder-friendly communities" through pilot programs, China urgently needs to explore ways to integrate elderly care services into these communities. Taking Qingdao's Yan'an Er Road Community—a national model for elderly-friendly communities—as the research case, this study examines the implementation pathways of embedding elderly care services into such communities from four dimensions: spatial integration, functional integration, actor integration, and emotional integration. The aim is to provide reference for community governance and elderly care services in China, while offering valuable insights and experiences for the development of elderly-friendly communities in the country.
