Abstract

Clarifying the degree of the negative effects of ambient air pollution on residents' health and labor participation and working time, and fully considering health loss caused by air pollution and human capital loss when formulating public policies are the prerequisites and key to controlling air pollution. At present, there are abundant research achievements in the fields of environmental pollution, residents' health, and labor supply in both domestic and foreign academic circles. This article systematically reviews and evaluates relevant research at home and abroad from the perspectives of the impact of air pollution on health and labor supply, aiming to outline the development of existing research and provide prospects for research directions in the field of environmental pollution, in order to lay a foundation for further research on the impact of air pollution on human capital.
