The watercolor works “Journal” series of contemporary artist Chen Yongjin are different from traditional watercolor works, which can be viewed as a whole or independently of each other. It is more similar to the artist's small scale and manuscript life notes that express what he sees and feels every day. Based on the study of this series of works, this paper makes a multi-faceted research and discussion on them.
