Research on the Window and Door Decoration Art of Traditional Residential Buildings in Yili, Xinjiang

Architecture is a form of cultural expression and a product of specific historical periods. The traditional dwellings of Xinjiang Ili have developed a unique regional architectural decorative style under the influence of Russian culture and their own ethnic culture through long-term changes. This article explores the design concepts of window and door decorative arts in Xinjiang Ili traditional dwellings from aspects such as an overview of Xinjiang Ili traditional dwellings, factors influencing the formation of window and door decorative arts, and characteristics of window and door decorative arts. Based on this, it aims to uncover the cultural connotations and artistic value of window and door decorative arts in Xinjiang Ili traditional dwellings to better protect and inherit this region-specific cultural product. The goal is to provide valuable references and research findings for modern architectural decoration designers.
