With rising living standards, health and longevity have become widely discussed topics among the public, and forest resources, with their multiple health benefits, have emerged as ideal destinations for longevity and Yangsheng (means “care for life”) tourism. Beyond traditional visual aesthetics, tourists increasingly seek multisensory experiences, particularly in smell and hearing when engaging with forest environments. Among these, the “soundscape” has gained significant attention as an important sensory resource. This study explores the object perception of visitors’ soundscape experiences to Fenghuang Mountain, known as the “the hometown of longevity in the world,” develops a measurement system for object perception, and empirically validates its effectiveness. The study further analyzes the relationship between object perception evaluation and soundscape satisfaction, offering new insights for the planning and management of longevity hometowns. By optimizing soundscape resources, the study aims to enhance visitor experiences and promote the harmonious coexistence of tourism and natural environments.
