As the information exchange medium between the driver and the autonomous driving system, the design rationality of the HUD interfaces directly impacts user experience and driving safety. Consequently, this study focuses on user experience research of HUD interfaces in autonomous driving scenarios. First, this paper reviews the application value and the current status of design research related to HUD through a literature review. Subsequently, interviews were conducted with 15 users to clarify their needs and pain points, while a focus group discussion involving 8 domain experts was organized to investigate factors influencing the driver's experience. Based on these findings, two typical user personas were constructed. On this foundation, HUD information design strategies and experience optimization design strategies tailored for these two user groups are proposed. Overall, this research holds theoretical value for enhancing user experience and driving safety in human-machine collaborative driving scenarios.
