Research on the Relationship between Types of Parenting Styles and Internet Addiction among Adolescents

This paper focuses on the relationship between the types of parenting styles and teenagers' Internet addiction. Through theoretical analysis and literature review, it explores the influence mechanism of different parenting styles on teenagers' Internet usage behavior. Studies have found that the authoritative parenting style helps to curb Internet addiction among teenagers, while the authoritarian, indulgent and neglusive parenting styles increase the risk of Internet addiction to varying degrees. This research not only enriches the theoretical system of family education and adolescent behavioral development, but also provides practical guidance for the prevention and intervention of adolescent Internet addiction.
