Abstract

In recent years, with the continuous improvement of technological levels, people have become increasingly dependent on the convenient lifestyle constructed by high-tech products. This trend has driven cross-border e-commerce to enter a stage of rapid growth. As a highly regarded emerging technology, artificial intelligence (AI) is penetrating deeper in multiple fields, and its integration with the e-commerce industry has become an important direction for promoting the development of this industry. This article aims to explore the specific impact of AI on the e-commerce industry as its core objective and conducts a systematic study using methods such as literature analysis. This research focuses on the entire chain of e-commerce operations, covering aspects such as market research, product recommendation, logistics scheduling, and customer service. It meticulously examines the positive and negative impacts brought about by AI technology: On one hand, AI significantly enhances operational efficiency and user experience; on the other hand, it also raises concerns regarding data security and algorithm fairness. Additionally, this paper analyzes the practical challenges faced by AI in e-commerce applications, including technical bottlenecks, cost control, and talent shortages. Based on the actual needs of the industry, this paper further proposes targeted optimization suggestions from multiple dimensions such as technological upgrading, system improvement, and talent cultivation. Finally, by taking into account the current technological trends and industry changes, it makes an outlook on the future application scenarios, development potential and evolution path of AI in the e-commerce field, with the aim of providing a reference for industry practice.
