This paper focuses on the China-Myanmar Oil and Gas Pipeline project. Through a comprehensive review of the project's background, construction process, and operational status, it aims to analyze both the successes achieved and the challenges encountered during its implementation. The goal is to distill valuable lessons that can inform future transnational energy cooperation between China and Myanmar. The pipeline has played a significant role in enhancing regional energy interconnectivity and fostering economic development. However, it has also faced challenges related to political instability, regional conflicts, and public opinion. Based on this analysis, the paper summarizes transferable experiences from the pipeline project for broader Sino-Myanmar energy collaboration. It is hoped that these findings will provide reference for similar energy cooperation projects under the Belt and Road Initiative and for the development of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor.
