Research on Sensor Non-alignment Error Correction

Magnetic sensors play a crucial role in various applications, such as heading measurement, position tracking, and geomagnetic exploration. However, in practical applications, factors like improper installation, sensor misalignment, and manufacturing errors can introduce misalignment errors in the sensor’s measurement data. These errors lead to systematic deviations between the measured values and the actual magnetic field values, affecting the sensor’s measurement accuracy. To enhance the accuracy of magnetic sensors, error correction is necessary. The least squares method, a commonly used statistical technique, can effectively address this error correction. This paper employs the least squares method to correct the misalignment errors in magnetic sensors.
