Abstract

China's cinema industry has undergone significant transformations from industrialization reforms to the post-pandemic era, with traditional theaters facing multiple challenges. Community cinemas, as an emerging business model, have demonstrated promising development potential. Through literature analysis and SWOT business model comparisons, this study reveals that community cinemas, characterized by their proximity to residents' daily lives, affordable ticket prices, and diversified services, show remarkable potential in addressing the challenges confronting traditional theaters. They are poised to become a crucial growth driver for the future of the cinema industry.
