Abstract

Although ink-wash animation, as the most distinctive national feature in the history of Chinese animation, has long been constrained by technical challenges in production. With technological advancements, these technical difficulties have finally been resolved, and ink-wash animation will ultimately break through its bottleneck, captivating audiences both domestically and internationally with its uniquely Chinese charm. This paper explores the feasibility of applying Chinese ink-wash painting techniques to 3D animation design through the development of digital technology and self-practice.
