Abstract

To explore the development trends of smart clothing by analyzing its research status and hotspots over the past decade. Using CiteSpace 6.4.R software, we conducted a visualization analysis of annual publication volume, author and institutional collaboration, keywords, and other aspects of domestic and international smart clothing-related literature. The sample comprised relevant literature indexed in the CNKI and Web of Science databases. The overall publication volume in smart clothing research shows an upward trend. Collaboration between core authors and institutions remains limited and warrants strengthening. Countries such as China, South Korea, and the United States have conducted substantial research with significant influence. Research in the field is advancing toward multifunctional integration, new material applications, data processing and analysis, and health monitoring. With continuous technological progress, smart clothing is expected to provide more personalized and precise health monitoring solutions in the future. This study reviews the development status of smart clothing over the past decade, providing additional references for exploring future research trends in this field.
