Abstract

This paper focuses on the films of Alice Rohrwacher, proposing that her constructed aesthetics of slowness, built upon "haptic time" and "material decay," confronts capitalist acceleration logic from an eco-feminist perspective. The study reveals how the director deconstructs technological hegemony through tremulous images and exposes the myth of digital cleanliness via media corruption. This aesthetics offers a "poetics of vulnerability" for the ecological turn in cinema, exploring new possibilities for film as a multispecies mnemonic medium.
