Abstract

Ossifying fibroma (OF) is a rare benign bone marrow tissue mesenchymal tumour. It replaces normal bone with fibrous tissue. This type of lesion is commonly observed in children and young people. The craniofacial bone is the most frequently affected site, with rib OF occurring at a relatively low frequency. This article presents a case of ossifying fibroma of the rib, confirmed by surgical and pathological examination, and combines a literature analysis to improve the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of this disease.
