The Value of Cytokines in Assessing the Severity of CAP

Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) is a common clinical infectious disease. Once it progresses to severe illness, the risk of mortality significantly increases. Therefore, early and accurate assessment of disease severity is of great significance for improving prognosis. In recent years, research on cytokines has gradually emerged. This article focuses on elucidating the value of cytokines in evaluating the severity of CAP. Cytokines have high value in determining the severity of CAP. Clinically, they can guide physicians in their judgment and have certain value in improving patient prognosis.
