Based on the understanding of the engineering geological conditions in the tunnel site area of the Dong Tianshan Tunnel and the summary of engineering practice, an engineering geological route selection method for the Dong Tianshan Tunnel is proposed. Focused on the research and analysis of the engineering geological conditions and surrounding rock geological conditions and classifications related to the various line schemes of the tunnel section. And on this basis, analyze the situation of the two lines from the tunnel length, surrounding rock conditions, water gushing, unfavorable geological conditions and so on. Considering the stability of the opening and the construction safety of the cave body, the recommended scheme K is less risky than scheme B, and is safer and more reasonable.
