Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study and analyze whether northwest China meets the development needs of lithium battery industry and its impact on local economic development, and draw general conclusions. Compared with batteries, lithium-ion battery packs have natural advantages in environmental protection. The materials used in lithium-ion battery packs do not contain polluting metals such as cadmium, lead, mercury and other harmful heavy metals. There are no pollutants in the processing and use of lithium-ion batteries, which ensures human health. There is no pollution of water and soil in the recycling process of waste batteries. Lithium batteries have relatively high energy storage density and long service life, making them the most promising energy storage technology at present. Northwest China has a high demand for energy storage, and its unique geographical conditions have great advantages for the development of lithium batteries. The lithium battery industry can help the local economy to a certain extent through the financial advantages brought by the recycling of lithium batteries.
