This paper investigates the influence of contemporary college students' sports participation habits on physical fitness test scores and the logical relationship between them. Taking 200 college students from all over China as a sample, the data of four dependent and four independent variables were obtained through questionnaire survey and physical fitness test scores. Based on pre-processing and standardization of the original data, the mathematical and scientific ideas of multiple regression analysis were applied to do correlation analysis and principal component analysis on the dependent and independent variables. The degree of influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable is investigated separately. In connection with physical education, suggestions are made for further reforming physical education and guiding college students to engage in physical exercise.
