Abstract

The goal is to analyze the interactions between humans and automated decision support systems (DSS) in different working environments. The review emphasizes their results and factors affecting efficiency and reliability including the correctness of decisions and how people rely on automation under limited time constraints. By reviewing these research papers, the investigation shows how time constraints and operator reliance on DSS influence the performance of decision making. DSS have some potential to mitigate negative effects of consistent work and enhance performance, but problems remain This suggests that while automation can help improve decision accuracy, the optimal integration of human intuition and automation needs more development.
