Hydrogen has emerged as a crucial element in the pursuit of sustainable energy solutions due to its versatility and its ability to combust without emitting greenhouse gases. This research examines hydrogen's multifaceted role as an energy carrier, emphasizing its methods of production, storage, and utilization. Recent technological advancements, such as enhanced electrolysis efficiency and innovative storage materials, are explored to tackle existing challenges such as high production costs and energy inefficiencies. Case studies in transportation, industrial applications, and power generation illustrate hydrogen's potential to significantly reduce carbon emissions, supporting global decarbonization endeavors. Strategic investments and supportive policies are identified as an essential to fully capitalize on hydrogen's capabilities, emphasizing the necessity for ongoing innovation and cross-sector collaboration to achieve a sustainable, decarbonized energy future. With the increasing attention of the whole society to climate change, hydrogen energy will play an increasingly important role in creating a green and low-carbon world.
