In this research, the historical development and characteristics of truss structure are briefly summarized, and the development track of truss calculation theory is introduced. In view of the triangle, square and folded trusses, the stress analysis is carried out and its distribution characteristics are obtained, then drew the conclusion of the practical engineering scene, finally got the result of the prospect of the truss structure and its optimization.
