Abstract

Data commingling involves merging data from various sources into a shared infrastructure. However, this poses ethical challenges for businesses. This article delves into the ethical issues that arise from data commingling and its impact on organizations. It also provides recommendations for responsible data management. Real-world cases, such as LinkedIn's data handling, highlight the consequences of data commingling on customer trust and company credibility. To overcome these challenges, businesses should explore the creation of multi-cloud data lakes, offer employee training, and advocate for global regulations on data commingling.
