Abstract

This paper investigates the relationship between residents' leisure and happiness, with a particular focus on the impact of leisure involvement and leisure experience on happiness, and explores the mediating role of leisure experience between leisure involvement and happiness. Through questionnaire surveys and data analysis, it is found that leisure involvement significantly positively affects leisure experience and happiness, while leisure experience also plays a significant mediating role between leisure involvement and happiness. The study also verifies the dimensional composition of leisure involvement and leisure experience. Leisure involvement includes dimensions such as attractiveness, centrality, and self-expression, while leisure experience includes dimensions such as physical comfort, psychological satisfaction, and social interaction. Happiness includes two dimensions: emotional satisfaction and life satisfaction. This paper emphasizes the importance of leisure experience in modern life and suggests that by promoting diverse and high-quality leisure experiences, the overall happiness of residents can be effectively enhanced.
