Abstract

This research aimed to identify key factors influencing employee innovation performance in traditional small and medium-sized technology enterprises (SMEs) and propose a corresponding performance model. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 276 employees via structured questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, multiple regression, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings highlighted three critical psychological factors: self-efficacy, growth need strength, and creativity. Self-efficacy positively impacted creativity, while growth need strength enhanced creativity, indirectly boosting innovation performance. Creativity emerged as a crucial driver of innovation performance. The proposed model emphasized that fostering self-efficacy and growth need strength is essential for creating a creativity-conducive environment, ultimately driving employee innovation performance in traditional SMEs.
