Abstract

The accelerating reshaping of the global energy system and intensifying geopolitical competition have exposed the supply chains of energy production companies to complex risks. Traditional management paradigms urgently need to shift to a balance of efficiency and resilience. This paper focuses on energy production companies to systematically analyze their supply chain risk identification and resilience improvement paths. At the theoretical level, it clarifies the evolutionary logic of the concept of resilience and defines four core dimensions of supply chain resilience: redundancy, flexibility, visibility, and adaptability. In practical terms, it reveals the triple structural difficulties faced by energy supply chains: supply concentration risk caused by resource dependence, flexibility rigid constraints caused by infrastructure specificity, and institutional regulatory pressures. It also identifies external disturbances such as geopolitical conflicts, market fluctuations, and tightening environmental regulations, as well as intrinsic bottlenecks such as lagging digital transformation and information islands. Accordingly, it proposes collaborative strategies such as building diversified supply networks, providing theoretical support and practical guidance for energy companies to optimize resilience management decisions and cope with uncertain environments, and providing reference value for safeguarding national energy security.
