Abstract

This article addresses the problem of parameter estimation in load‑sharing parallel systems with component lifetimes following log‑logistic distribution. By formulating the joint likelihood function for system lifetimes, we obtain robust estimates via maximum likelihood estimation based on a Gauss-Seidel iterative optimization algorithm and then employ bootstrap techniques to construct confidence intervals for the parameters, thereby quantifying the uncertainty of the estimates. Simulation studies demonstrate the high accuracy and stability of the proposed method in handling complex dependency structures, which provides a solid theoretical foundation for the reliability analysis of load-sharing mechanisms in complex engineering systems.
