Xu Wei, Michelangelo, Chinese and Western Artistic CreationAbstract
Xu Wei from China and Michelangelo from Italy "converged" at the temporal crossroads of the 16th century. By delving into their respective historical backgrounds, creative impetuses, and the influence exerted on the social cultures of their eras, both the commonalities and disparities in their artistic creations are revealed. Subsequently, through a comparative analysis of their representative works, conspicuous similarities and differences in creative concepts, themes, and techniques are discerned. This paper is dedicated to exploring these aspects, thereby furnishing a novel perspective for cross-cultural art research.
