Cardiovascular disease (CVD) and osteoporosis are common diseases in the middle-aged and elderly population, and the number of people affected by these two diseases has been steadily increasing against the background of a deepening global ageing population. The relationship between cardiovascular diseases and osteoporosis is complex, especially whether the related therapeutic drugs affect the development of the other disease while acting on one disease has become a hot research topic in the medical field. The purpose of this paper is to summarise the intrinsic connection between cardiovascular diseases and osteoporosis by systematically combing the authoritative literature at home and abroad in recent years, and to comprehensively analyse the mechanism of action of anti-cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis drugs, and to explore the influence of the therapeutic drugs for one disease on the other disease. This will provide strong support for clinicians to formulate more scientific and reasonable comprehensive treatment plans, and thus promote the progress and development of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis and their co-morbidities management.
