Solar photovoltaic (PV) and concentrated solar power (CSP) hybrid power plants integrate the advantages of both photovoltaic and solar-thermal power generation. This configuration enhances the stability of grid-connected output while simultaneously improving overall power generation efficiency and land-use effectiveness. To further explore the significance of PV/CSP coupling under the dual-carbon goals and to develop its unique strengths, this paper reviews the current research status of PV/CSP hybrid technologies and outlines potential future technological pathways. It’s aiming to provide theoretical references for subsequent studies in this field.
