Innovative Practice of New Media Majors in Vocational Colleges from the Perspective of Industry Education Integration

Vocational education is an important component of the modern national education system. The integration of industry and education plays an important role in vocational education. However, the development of industry education integration in China’s vocational education system is not yet mature enough, especially lacking empirical case studies. In this article, a case study will be made focusing on the new media course conducted in Shanghai Art & Design Academy· Phoenix Industrial College. The course has included several practical projects, and they are considered as a good example of industry education integration. This experience will also be compared with those developed countries such as the United States, Japan, Germany, and Singapore who enjoy a high level of vocational education. The conclusion of this essay will also provide a practical experience for other vocational colleges.
