Guided by Nida's theory of functional equivalence, the author conducted a practical translation of Constitution Regimens of Inner Cannon of Huangdi, applying the theory to analyze the translation process and the English text at the levels of lexicon, syntax, and discourse. This study explores the applicability of functional equivalence theory in the practice of translating ancient Chinese medical texts, offering insights and guidance for translators of such works.
