Abstract

Similar to earlier waves of technical progress, generative artificial intelligence, like ChatGPT, has the potential to disrupt the labor market. This study uses the Task Decomposition Replacement Probability Model to estimate the replacement rate by AI in a sample marketing company and then extrapolates the results to China's marketing industry to forecast the influence of AI on the labor market of the country's marketing sector. This study concludes that, once AI is completely implemented, more than half of employment are replaceable.
