Abstract

Based on the data of all prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta(YRD) region from 2017 to 2021, the author empirically analyzes the impact of IFDI on regional innovation capability in the YRD region of China, finding that IFDI can significantly improve the regional innovation capability of China's YRD region. Moreover, the enhancement effect of IFDI on regional innovation capacity varies with the different levels of economic development of the cities, and IFDI can significantly enhance the regional innovation capacity in the cities with strong and weak economic development, but it is not obvious in the cities with medium economic development.
