Paper industry is an important basic industry of the national economy, is recognized as "never exhausted" industry. In the 21st century, with the development of social economy, China has become the world's paper products consumer power. Since 2003, China's pulp imports ranked first in the world, and the gradually expanding trade deficit will not only have an impact on China's pulp industry, but also is not conducive to the sustainable development of import trade. Based on the production and consumption gap in China's pulp market, this paper analyzes the demand, scale and structure of pulp import trade, and then empirically analyzes the influencing factors of China's pulp import trade, and finally puts forward the suggestions for safeguarding the safety and interests of China's pulp import trade according to the research results.
